Terms and Conditions – Driving Lessons

Terms and Conditions

Last updated:13/03/2026

These terms apply to all driving lessons provided by Chris Dixon Driving School.

By booking a driving lesson, you agree to the following terms.

Lesson Bookings

Driving lessons must be booked in advance and are subject to instructor availability.

Lessons will normally take place at the agreed time and location unless otherwise arranged.

Lesson Duration

Lessons are typically delivered in agreed time blocks (50 min intervals). The full lesson duration will be provided unless prevented by circumstances outside the instructor’s control (such as severe traffic disruption or vehicle issues).

Cancellations

At least 48 hours notice is required to cancel or reschedule a driving lesson.

If less than 48 hours notice is given, the full lesson fee may be charged.

Payments

Lessons must be paid for in advance or at the time of the lesson unless otherwise agreed.

Payment methods may include bank transfer or other agreed payment methods.

Block bookings may be offered at the instructor’s discretion.

Pupil Responsibility

Pupils must hold a valid UK provisional driving licence and must present it if requested.

Pupils must inform the instructor of any medical conditions, injuries, or medication that may affect their ability to drive safely.

Lessons will not take place if a pupil appears to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

Instructor Responsibility

The instructor will ensure that the vehicle used for lessons is properly insured, maintained, and fitted with dual controls.

The instructor is responsible for providing a safe learning environment and professional instruction.

Driving Test Bookings

Pupils are responsible for booking their own driving test unless the instructor agrees otherwise.

The instructor reserves the right to advise whether a pupil is ready for their practical driving test.

Use of the instructor’s car for a driving test is subject to the instructor’s approval and availability.

Liability

Chris Dixon Driving School cannot be held responsible for driving test outcomes or delays caused by the DVSA.

Every effort will be made to deliver lessons as scheduled, but lessons may occasionally need to be rearranged due to circumstances outside the instructor’s control.
